July 20

Day 1 – Sunday Cultural Tour

08:40.      Leave your hotel for a 5-10 minute walk from your hotel to the meeting point at Hiroshima Station.

09:00-12:30. Bus from Hotels (Hiroshima Station) to the Hiroshima Peace Museum and surrounds. Explore the musuem and the grounds.  The museum visit includes an audio guided tour.

12:30-13:30. Lunch (TBA)

13:30-19:00. Miyajima by River Cruise. (40 minutes by boat, 2 hour guided tour of the site 40 minutes return). Experience the serene beauty of Miyajima from a unique perspective with the Miyajima River Cruise. This leisurely boat tour offers breathtaking views of the iconic Itsukushima Shrine and its "floating" torii gate, as well as the island's lush forests and majestic Mount Misen.

19:00.       Delegates return to their hotels by tram.


July 21

Day 2 – Monday included in base cost

08:40.      Leave your hotel for a 5-10 minute walk from your hotel to the meeting point at Hiroshima Station.

09:00-09:30. Bus from Hiroshima Station to the Mazda Museum.

09:45-11:30. Mazda Museum and factory tour.

11:30-12:30. Bus to Saijyo

12:30-13:30. Lunch (delegates are free to purchase at their own cost)

13:30-15:30. Saijyo Sake Tour.

 

Back to Hiroshima station to pick up extra delegates, and to drop-off guests who do not wish to attend the cocktail reception.

15:30-16:45. Bus to HIT.

17:00-18:30. Welcome Reception (at Leaf Garden Café – Level 1 HIT)

18:30-19:00. Bus to Hiroshima Station.


July 22

Day 3 - Tuesday

08:30-09:00. Delegates travel to HIT by train and connecting bus.

09:00-10:00. Registration

10:30-11:00. Keynote Address

11:00-11:30. Morning tea

11:30-12:30. Paper session A

12:30-13:30. Lunch (Leaf Garden Café)

18:00-21:30. Mushashi – Traditional Japanese Restaurant. Buffet style with Soft drinks, wine, beer and whiskey. Includes Dance Troup (Kagura).


July 25

IMPORTANT NOTE:  IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THIS POST CONFERENCE TOUR - PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE A RETURN FLIGHT FROM HIROSHIMA.  YOUR FLIGHTS SHOULD BE:

HOME - TOKYO;  TOKYO - HIROSHIMA; TOKYO - HOME.

THIS IS BECAUSE THE RETURN LEG FROM HIROSHIMA WILL BE ON THE BULLET TRAIN.

 

11:00-15:00. Delegates travel to Tokyo by Shinkansen (Bullet Train).

15:00-15:30. Hotel Check-in

17:00.  Delegates are free to explore Tokyo City

 

The Ticket for the Shinkansen is included, and the seat will be booked for you.

 

The hotel is located closed to Tokyo Station and connects directly with our tours.

You will check in on the 25th July and check out on the 28th July. You need to book and pay for your hotel.

Stop 1: Shinjuku. This is the more colourful section of Tokyo

 

Stop 2: Meiji Shinto Shrine. This is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken. It is a serene oasis featuring traditional architecture and a lush forest. It hosts cultural events and offers a glimpse into Japan’s rich heritage and history.

 

Drive-by 3: Harajuku & Shibuya Scramble Crossing. This is the famous intersection where thousands cross simultaneously, symbolizing Tokyo’s bustling energy and modernity.

 
 

July 27

08:00-20:00. Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour (Lunch included)

 

Pick up at Hotel (Marunouchi Hotel) at 8:10am

 

The tour will visit:

  • 1 TOUR STARTS IN SHINJUKU AT 9:00 AM. The bus ride will take approximately 150 minutes.

  • 2 MT.FUJI 5TH STATION or the highest accessible point - Breathtaking panoramic view from a height of 2,300 meters (Approx. 30 min.)

  • 3 JAPANESE-STYLE LUNCH AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT IN GOTEMBA - Experience a delectable Japanese-style lunch!
    Vegetarian Menu is available on request.

  • 4 HAKONE SKY GONDOLA - The one-way spectacular cable car ride. (Approx. 15 min.)

  • 5 OWAKUDANI VALLEY - Famous volcanic valley for its sulfur vents and Black Egg. (Approx. 20 min.)

  • 6 PIRATE BOAT CRUISE ON LAKE ASHI - Enjoy a scenic lake cruise across the beautiful Lake Ashi. (Approx. 30 min.)

  • 7 RETURN TO TOKYO BY BULLET TRAIN (SHINKANSEN) Non-reserved tourist class seats are used on Bullet Train.
