Book your own accommodations. Look for Downtown San Jose hotels. There are many, many hotels, including the Hilton, Hyatt, Westin, and Marriott.
If you don't need a fancy hotel or free breakfast, we recommend the Convention Center Hotel and Suites. It is a small motel‑style property. The rooms are quite large and have a queen-size bed. (A few rooms have two bedrooms). They include a refrigerator and microwave oven. But there is no elevator, and none of the rooms are equipped for the handicapped.)
