InSITE 2026: Informing Science + IT Education Conferences Silicon Valley

Jul 26 - 31 2026, San Jose, California, United States

Getting There

Here are some ideas to help you get to the conference.

Fly into San Francisco and Take an Uber

The best way to get to your hotel when you fly into San Francisco is by Uber. The base price is approximately $50 for a regular car that seats a few and about $60 for an SUV that seats up to six. Of course, Uber uses surge pricing, so if you arrive at a peak time, the price will be higher. See https://www.uber.com/global/en/r/airports/sfo/pickup/

$50-60 for up to 6 people

Fly into San Jose and take Uber

Most other ways take you to the San Jose airport. Then you would take an Uber that costs between $15 and $30.

If you have lots of travel funds, you can even arrange for an Uber driver to wait for your arrival and/or travel in a fancy car or van.

Your downtown hotel is a short walk to the university's library where the conference is being held.

Car Rental

San Jose offers a wide selection of car rental options from major agencies located at the airport and throughout the city. Average rental prices generally start around $19–$23 per day for budget options, with higher rates for premium or specialty vehicles.

Free parking is available downtown and in certain city areas after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
