With Mostafa and Luca in senior management consulting roles in the UK and Australia and Michael as Andreas School of Business senior faculty professor, we found several gaps in the literature, especially when it comes to artificial intelligence and leadership: there needs to not only be better leadership but also an authentic leadership approach. AI and thrive effectively as they operate and compete in the AI age. Authentic leadership style requires new changes in this new era of AI disruptions. We place a new emphasis on authentic leadership, because of its importance at all levels of the organizations in the AI age. We show that authentic leadership is an ideal leadership form for enabling organizations to implement. This article is a guide for corporate leaders looking to incorporate AI into their authentic leadership practices. Artificial intelligence, considered a unique approach to leading not just in the business world, but beyond, requires a new type of leader, who must not only be well-read but "well-ready" for constant change. In this article, we open up a new avenue of inquiry into the shifts of authentic leadership in the AI age, to get both scholars and practitioners to join the conversation which is necessary today as we face a constantly changing organizational playing field.
