InSITE 2020: Informing Science + IT Education Conferences: Online

Jul 7 - 8 2020, Online

Conference Details

The InSITE conference alumni often mention the conference as among the best organized and most supportive conference they have attended. We greatly regret the need to move the conference online, but the safety of our delegates is our primary concern.

Because researchers around the globe are already complaining about "teleconference fatigue", we have chosen to limit our program as follows:

  • All individuals with accepted papers will have the opportunity to present online
  • The President of the Informing Science Institute will deliver a keynote titled "What is Informing Science?"
  • A couple of selected workshops will be offered, one on writing research papers and one on digital badges.

Access to the conference will be provided as follows:

  1. Within a week of the 7 July start date, all participants that have registered and paid will be sent a link, by email, to a Canvas LMS site. Please do not share this link with non-registered participants. Access to the presentations is a conference benefit and we also do not want malicious spectators to disrupt the online sessions.
  2. The Canvas site will include the following:
  • Links to Microsoft Teams sites for each session
  • Links to recordings of each session, once they become available
  • Supporting materials, such as slides and links to published papers related to each presentation
  • Access to workshop materials, where applicable

If you have questions regarding access to sessions, feel free to contact Grandon Gill (grandon@grandon.com)

Fast-tracking of Best Accepted Papers to ISI journals

The Editors-in-Chief of ISI's journals look over the reviews and the revised submissions and select the best papers for publication in their journals using fast-tracking.  Highest consideration for fast-tracking for publication in one of ISI  journals will go to papers submitted to the conference by November 30.  Official reviewing starts December 15. To be considered, at least one author must be a paid delegate to the conference.

All papers and abstracts by conference delegates that are accepted are published in the conference proceedings.
